The Department of Computer Science of the University of Chile invites  
applications for three full-time positions in Computer Science to  
begin March 2007 or after.
We are seeking applicants with strong commitment to undergraduate and  
graduate teaching and research in Computer Science at international  
standards.

An earned PhD in Computer Science is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a specialization in one  
of the following areas: Computer Architecture, Operating Systems,  
Computer Networks, Databases, or Software Engineering.

Candidates should have proved experience in carrying out research,  
managing research projects, and teaching. Teaching is conducted in  
Spanish.
Candidates are expected to be fluent in English and willing to become  
fluent in Spanish in a brief delay.

Applications should include a letter of application, curriculum  
vitae, research, teaching and service statement, and two confidential  
letters of recommendation sent directly to the address below.

Rank and salary (in Chilean pesos) will depend on academic background  
and experience, and follow the academic standards of the University  
of Chile.
