Topics:

The goal of SC 2007 is to bring together the research and industrial
communities in order to address the challenges of the component-based
software development approach. SC 2007 will be the sixth symposium on
software composition in the SC series that seeks to develop a better
understanding of how software components may be used to build and
maintain large software systems. Therefore, submissions relating
theory and practice are particularly welcome. Suggested topics of
interest include, but are not limited to:

   - Composition and adaptation techniques
   - Composition languages, calculi and type systems for such systems
   - Semantics-based composition and analysis of component systems
   - Verification, validation and testing techniques
   - Dynamic composition and reconfiguration
   - Aspect-oriented programming
   - Composition issues in industrial-strength component systems
   - Software composition in pervasive computing environments
   - Composition of active documents
   - Compositional web service design and implementation

We solicit two categories of high-quality submissions on research
results and/or experience: Long papers (12-16 pages, LNCS format,
including bibliography and figures) describing a technical
contribution in depth and short papers (6-8 pages, LNCS format)
concisely capturing ongoing work, new ideas, and experiences.
Submitted papers will be judged on the basis of significance,
relevance, correctness, originality, and clarity. Submitted papers
must be unpublished and not submitted for publication elsewhere. As in
previous years, the proceedings of the symposium will be published as
a volume in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (approval
pending). Authors of accepted papers should provide all the electronic
files of the final version of their paper according to the instructions
provided at the LNCS home page (www.springer.com/lncs).
