Research Associate Aspect-Oriented and Model-Driven Development

Applications are invited for this exciting research position in the
aspect-oriented software engineering group in the Computing Department at
Lancaster University. The post is for 18 months and will give the candidate
the opportunity to join an ambitious research group with a strong track
record in aspect-oriented software engineering.
This position is funded through the European Commission Framework 6 project
on Aspect-Oriented, Model-Driven Product Line Engineering (AMPLE). The
project focuses on combining aspect-oriented and model-driven techniques to
address variability at each stage in a software product line engineering
lifecycle and bind the variation points in various development stages and
dimensions into a coherent variability framework across the life cycle.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science (or close to
completing one). The candidate must possess knowledge and experience of
aspect-oriented software development. Knowledge or familiarity with
aspect-oriented requirements engineering is also essential. Since the post
involves working with natural language requirements, knowledge and
experience of natural language analysis/processing or information retrieval
techniques is desirable though not essential. Similarly, it is desirable
that the candidate also possess knowledge of modelling or model-driven
development.
