ABOUT THE AOSD SUMMER SCHOOL
Following on from two successful editions in 2006 and 2007,
the third AOSD-Europe summer school on Aspect-Oriented
Software Development (AOSD) provides an intensive and
exciting week of lectures on advanced aspect-oriented
topics in the context of programming languages, analysis
and design, formal methods and application domains. The
summer school brings together PhD students and lecturers
as well as other researchers and practitioners who are
interested in aspect-oriented software development. The
tutorials are given by renowned representatives of each
domain of expertise. Each tutorial combines foundations,
examples and advanced topics as well as hands-on sessions
when appropriate.
The program of the summer school also
features a participants workshop, implemented in the
programme through a series of research sessions. The
students of the summer school are also welcomed to present a
poster about their ongoing work. The lecturers
present at the summer school will provide the students
with feedback on their research.

VENUE
Technische Universitat Darmstadt, Germany
Darmstadt is a medium-size city located in Germany's busy
Rhein-Main region. It is home of over 30 research institutions,
including two universities of applied sciences, the bigger of
which is the Technische Universitä´ Darmstadt, where the
AOSD Summer School will take place.
But Darmstadt is not only known as a city of science, but also
for its notable architecture. While the Mathildenh?is the
centerpiece of an ensemble of so-called Jugendstil buildings
from the the early 20th century, only recently the Waldspirale,
designed by the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser,
has been added to Darmstadt's skyline. And visible from atop
the Waldspirale are the skyscrapers of Frankfurt, the region's
biggest city, and a mere 30 km to the north of Darmstadt.
