There is a section on it in my position paper "An Aspect-Oriented Framework
for Schema Evolution in Object-Oriented Databases", which was given
at the ACP4IS workshop at AOSD 2002. You can download the workshop
proceedings at

However, I think there are probably better (i.e. more thorough, more rigorous)
discussions of it out there by now.
