Additionally, the AspectJ book by Ramnivas Laddad also covers a bit on GUI
stuff but IIRC only things like adherence of thread rules in Swing
components and so on..

I’ve also seen people refactor code wrt swing components and adding action
listeners by attaching information to calls using ASpectJ..

There are some examples which bring a feature oriented notion to AOP where
everything to do with a particular feature is encapsulated within the
aspect. For example an aspect could contain the business logic for the
feature and also the GUI representation
   (e.g. caching aspect contains the
caching code and also its representation in the GUI (on/off))

Such usage of AOP can facilitate it's use in Product Lines...

Dear Luis Nieto

The book Aspectj CookBook by Russel Miles has some issues about the use
aspects with design pattern in separation of graphical user interface
concerns.
Congratulations.

Hi, my name is Luis Nieto and I'm from Argentina. All
I have read about AOP is related to the separation
of concerns at the business logic level. Does anyone
know
where I could find some information about the
separation of graphical user interface concerns?

Thanks

Hi,

About two to three years ago, I posted a short history of before/after/
around advice in this mailing list. I have now posted a slightly
updated version at my blog at
http://p-cos.blogspot.com/2007/12/origin-of-advice.html
- I thought this might be of interest here.
