Welcome to the AOSD.06 Student Introductions Wiki page

Go back to Spring School.

Hi, I'm Jennifer Baldwin from the University of Victoria. Another student, Chris Matthews, and I will be organizing some fun events for the students at AOSD.

Be sure to check the Student Events while you're at the conference for fun things to do or to organize events yourself.

If you want to get to know people ahead of time, feel free to introduce yourself right here on the Wiki!!!

I'm Andrew Eisenberg, from the University of British Columbia. I'll be at the Spring School. My area is in metaobject protocols and domain specific languages. Here's a link to the paper I will be presenting at the AOM workshop [1]. In the paper, I describe a code editor that is extensible domain specific ways. Here's a (slightly outdated) poster I presented at last year's AOSD conference: [2] --Andrew 10:56, 6 Mar 2006 (EST)

I am Sebastian Bergmann from the University of Bonn and not a "Java Guy". In order to experiment with AOP I had to build my own implementation for my favourite programming language which is PHP and in whose development I am involved. I'll present a poster on an AOP implementation for PHP (some details about this can be found on my blog) at AOSD 2006's Student Extravaganza Poster Event.

Hey, my name is Michael Desmond, i am currently studying at the University of Victoria, Canada but im originally from Ireland. Ill be presenting at the SPLAT workshop. I would really like to go to a beer garden for one of the events, the last time i was in Germany i went to one and it was a lot of fun! Anyone going up to amsterdam for the weekend after the conference?

Mike

Hi, I'm Andrea Schauerhuber, from the Vienna University of Technology (Austria). I will be presenting at the AOM workshop and at the poster event. I speak German, so this will be an advantage for any of the social events in Bonn :-)

Hi, I'm Andrew Jackson, from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). I will be presenting at the AOM and Early Aspects workshops and at the poster event. There are two other students comming from TCD and we fully intend on visiting as many bars as we can over the course of the week! Any interested parties or anyone who knows some good bars feel free to email me or share on this page.

Aj

Hello, my name is Thiago Bartolomei, I'm brazilian but currently studying in Kiel, Germany. I will be at the SPLAT workshop and will be a volunteer. I won't be there for the Spring School, but will get to Bonn on sunday afternoon, tell me if you have some plans. By the way, Sebastian, you are from Bonn, I am sure you can guide us to the best places, right ;-) ? []s

Hi, I'm David Stauch from the University of Grenoble, France. Originally, I'm from Germany. I'll present a poster at the Spring School and a paper at the FOAL workshop. I'm looking forward to see you at the social events, in bars and beer gardens (if it's not too cold).

David

So, check out the BoF page and come up with your own topic ;-) Looking forward to seeing you all in Bonn!

Hi, I'm Bram Adams from Ghent University. My work involves developing an aspect language for C, called Aspicere, and doing some fun stuff with it ;-). See you around at the Spring School or the LATE workshop!
