AOSD Technology

This portion of the website provides links to a collection of AOSD tools, methods and research projects. It is divided into two sections:

Tools for Practitioners

Is a much smaller list, including only those tools generally deemed to be appropriate to consider for use by practioners in commercial products. Some of these tools are open source rather than commercial products. But all appear to have a suitable combination of support, user community and quality that many organizations will find them suitable for production use.

Research Projects

Lists research projects developing AOSD technologies, techniques, methods, foundations etc. This is a broad list, including all links submitted to the site describing AOSD research projects.

Note that the Aspect-Oriented Software Association (AOSA) does not endorse, explicitly or implicitly, any of these tools. Our separation of the tools into Practitioner and Researcher categories is merely an effort to aid those new to AOSD to quickly determine from among the many tools being developed, which are more appropriately categorized as research projects and which are more appropriately categorized as supported tools. The AOSA accepts no liability whatsoever for any outcome from any use of these tools.

A detailed description of how to edit can be found on the Help:Editing page. The markup language is simple to use. The easiest way to start editing is to read the source of existing pages and mimic what's already there.
