The Student Extravaganza Poster Event takes place on Wednesday during the welcome reception from 18h until 20h. There are 37 student posters, so we will have to get organised! Here are some points we would like to address:
- the Two-Minute Pitch:
We will encourage conference attendees to mingle but since there are so many posters, it would be a good idea to prepare a two-minute speech in which you explain your poster. The goal is to capture the attention of the people that walk around and get across the main points of your work in a short time. If they are interested to hear more, you can elaborate or even agree to talk at some other time during the conference.
- poster size:
The maximum size for posters is landscape AO (height: 841mm and width: 1189mm), but you can bring a smaller poster or even a collection of A4 pages that you can stick together on the boards. The latter is especially useful if you want to avoid travelling with a huge
- setting up the posters:
It is possible that we could use some help in getting the room ready where the reception and poster event is held, and also for restoring it back to its original state after the event. So if you would like to help, make yourself available before 18h and/or after 20h. We will let you know more details later.
